From Plugin to Enterprise Agent

Plugins extend capability. Enterprise boundaries determine whether that capability can be used safely over time.

Architecture practice

Plugins are capability units

Tools, skills, storage, and interfaces can enter a Harness through plugins. This lets teams compose scenarios while keeping the core restrained. Installing a plugin, however, does not make it production-ready for an enterprise.

Connectors need business meaning

A generic API tool knows how to send a request. An enterprise connector also understands customers, orders, approvals, and permissions. Stable contracts, explicit error handling, least privilege, and traceable records determine whether an Agent can enter a core workflow.

The deliverable is a workflow

An Enterprise Agent is not a plugin list. It organizes models, workspaces, tools, rules, and human collaboration into a complete workflow, then validates it against real data and systems. DSHE designs integration, customization, and continuous delivery around that outcome.
